Karen McClintock

I enjoy the fulfillment and challenge of arranging some of our Flute/Violin selections for Joyful Harmonies. In addition to playing the flute, I also play the piccolo, alto and bass flutes. For the past 8 years I have auditioned and been selected to play in the Professional Flute Choir at the annual NFA Convention (www.nfaonline.org). I have been performing with the Colorado Silver Winds Flute Orchestra for the past 5 years. In 2000 I performed in a Master Class with Jill Felber and Claudia Anderson. Locally I am a member of the Quad City Wind Ensemble and have also played in the QC Music Guild and QC Flutes Unlimited. I am one of the Co-Founders, performers and the arranger of Grace Notes Flute Quartet (www.gracenotesflutes.com), a local Quad Cities flute ensemble founded in 2000. Our flute quartet also plays at weddings, receptions, banquets, and recitals. I regularly play at my church, Trinity Lutheran in Davenport (www.trinity-lutheran-church.com). I maintain a private teaching studio at my home in Long Grove, Iowa. My husband, Don and I have been married for 25 years. Together we have a son, Matt who is a senior in college.
